~~~~~Jesus loves you!~~~~~ Our Mission Ours is a simple mission. To preach and share the Word of God. To seek out those that God leads to us. To travel wherever the Lord leads. To be faithful to God and His Word. To trust in the Lord. To teach that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. That no one can go to the Father, except through Jesus. John 14:6 Statement of Faith We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the world and all that is in it. We believe that the Father sent His only Son Jesus to earth. We believe that Christ died for our sins on the cross. We believe that His blood covers us and by His stripes we are healed. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. We believe that His Holy Spirit lives in us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and repent from our sins. We believe the Bible is the Word of God. We live our lives as Jesus commanded. We love the Lord our God with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind and with all of our strength. We love one another as we love ourselves. |
"Prayer For Grace Sometimes I wonder why when we receive Jesus into our lives, that we don’t have a Paul moment. You remember Paul’s story. When Paul was Saul, he hunted down Christians because he felt that they were wrong and they were taking the Jewish people away from God. He cheered on those stoning Christians to death and even had the Jewish leaders give him letters to arrest Christians. But God had other plans for Saul. He knocked him off his horse one day as he was looking for Christians. A flash of bright light and off he goes to the ground. Immediately he is blinded and a voice is speaking to him. “Paul, Paul, why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:4) Paul has no idea of what is going on and who is speaking, so he asks, “Who are you?” (vs. 5) Jesus tells Paul that it is Him and that He wants Paul to stop doing what he is doing and to come to Jesus and to let Him lead Paul in his life. Paul is led into the town and for 3 days he is completely blind and confused and did not eat or drink. In another part of the town, a man named Ananias was going about his day. Suddenly he hears a voice, the same voice that Paul had heard, calling out his name. “Ananias!” (vs. 10) You see, Ananias had already accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, so he answered, “Yes, Lord,” and Jesus told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.” (vs. 11) Many things when through Ananias’ mind: This man has been seeking out those of us who follow The Way. He tells this to Jesus because he is afraid. And just maybe he is afraid because Jesus tells him that he is going to use Ananias hands to bring healing to this terrible person. God calls us to do things that will make us feel uncomfortable because He wants to move us beyond where we are and to grow in Him. Listen to the next words that Jesus says to Ananias. “Go! This man is My chosen instrument to proclaim My Name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much suffer for My Name.” (vs. 15) You see here that Ananias was not given a choice, Jesus commanded him to go. That’s what we must do when we surrender our lives to Jesus, to follow Him where He leads us. And Paul was chosen by God to bring His Word and to teach about the Salvation that Jesus gave us through His cross. We also see that Jesus is telling Ananias that He is showing Paul that he will suffer much for His Name. When Ananias came to the house Ananias tells Saul that Jesus has sent him, the same Jesus Who knocked you off your horse, Who blinded you so that you can see Him and be filled with the Holy Spirit. So Ananias puts his hands over Saul’s eyes and something like scales fall from his eyes and he is able to see again. Saul gets up and is Baptized, eats and gains his strength back. After several days, Saul is out preaching about Jesus! People were dismayed and scared. Some even wanted Saul killed because they did not trust Saul. It was not even a week earlier that Saul was trying to kill them. Those with him lowered him through a window in the wall around the city. Even the apostles were afraid of him! It always amazes me how fast Paul accepted and changed his life. When I look at myself I wonder why it has taken me years to accept Jesus completely into my life. Why did Paul change so quickly? Why did the Holy Spirit work so fast with him and to me it seems so slow? Why does it seem like at times the Lord is not talking with me? How can I be so in love with the Lord but feel out of tune with Him? I don’t doubt the Lord, but sometimes I don’t hear Him speaking to me. The silence from the Lord use to make me think I was doing something wrong, but now I have found that His silence is preparing me for a new step in my Journey with Him. It has taken years for me to understand that I have to grow in the Lord at my own pace, that each of us is different and that the Lord does not give us any more than we can handle. I used to worry about everything in fact I was so good at worry that it drove a wedge between God and me. That was the time in which I knew that Jesus was my Lord and Savior and even though I had accepted Him into my life, but I was still with a church that did not teach about a personal relationship with God. I didn’t understand what it meant to a born again Christian. I thought that I would gain eternal life through the church and that as long as I did good works, I would go to heaven. I knew nothing about grace because the church controlled us with its rules or rubrics as they called them. But it is through grace that we are saved, through the blood of Jesus He died so that we might live by choosing His gift of the cross. This is my prayer for grace; that grace might come over you and fill you with the amazing love that God has for us. That the Holy Spirit would fill you with grace overflowing and that your heart will be open to Journeying in the Lord. It does not matter what is in your past, just come to Jesus and tell Him all that is in your heart. Know that by coming to the Lord you will begin a life long Journey until you go home. Death use to scare me until the Holy Spirit showed me that death is to this life and that the life we live here is to prepare us for going home. Grace is yours for the taking! Don’t worry how long it takes to Journey, enjoy the Journey, love with all of you and share the love of God with everyone that God places in your life. God changed Saul’s name to Paul and Paul followed the way of the Lord for the rest of his life. He knew that he would die for Christ and he Journeyed knowing that death here meant home with God. He wanted to go home, but knew that God was using him for His will. What a wonderful thing it is in life to be used by God to bring the good news of Salvation. I know that I am blessed and full of God’s grace and that He will supply all that I need to do His will. There is joy in the Journey even when days seem dull and I am not up on the mountaintop with God seeing His glory, but as I Journey in the everyday life that I am called to live to share God’s amazing love. Give your life to God and trust Him completely. |
We had been living and traveling in a Ford conversion van and we are praising God for our 1972 Dodge motor home! When we were out in the van we met so many people and have been blessed to see God working in our lives to bring the Good News to people. We are walking and talking and meeting with people where they live or work and we have joined with others in their places of worship and have ministered to others in laundry mats and shared with people at campfires, parking lots, and out on the road. When we are able, we have Weekly Services where we are or join in churches along the way. The whole point of this ministry is to be with people wherever the Lord leads us to meet with them. For the past year, the Lord has us in Marana but we will be leaving in April for our lifelong Journey. Praise the Lord for allowing us to share His love here. We have been learning from Him and preparing for the Journey of our lives in Jesus Christ. We give God all the glory for His blessings and for showing us His way for our lives. We would like to thank the Marana Community Christian Church for the allowing us to be a part of them while we are here in Marana. We encourage you to visit the church if you are in Marana.
