"I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If you really knew Me,
you would know My Father as well.
From now on, you know Him and have seen Him."

3 Weeks

“Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. I tell
you the truth, My Father will give you whatever you ask for in My Name. Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, and
your joy will be complete.”
John 16:22-24

Life is too short to go on with what we are doing. We always say, “Someday” but someday has already come and gone. What are you doing with your life? Is
there someone that you need to make amends to? Someone who you have been mad at for years and cannot even remember why you were mad at the person
in the first place? Is there someone that you have put off seeing or somewhere that you have put off going? We never know what tomorrow will bring so it’s
important that we put things together and do what we know we have to do.

I have a friend named Kris, that I have been praying for and asking for prayers for many years. We had meet on the internet and had always made plans to
meet. We have known each other for over 5 years. Things kept coming up so I couldn’t make it to visit and after driving from Arizona to Louisiana this week, I
found out that I missed her by 3 weeks. 3 weeks. Kris has been sick for many years and we knew that someday she would pass. We were supposed to
celebrate our 5oth birthdays together in November but things happened that I couldn’t make it. Before we left, I had tried calling and as bad as this sounds, I
checked the internet to see if she had passed but I couldn’t find an obituary for her. We drove up to the apartments where she lived and I didn’t know which
one, so I went into the manager’s office and asked. He asked who I was looking for and I told him “Kris” and he hesitated and …He told me where she was
buried and Henry and I went to her grave. He also gave me her mom’s phone number and after sitting at the church that her daddy preached at, I decided to
call her mom. We spent the afternoon chatting with her.

3 weeks. Do you know when your time will come? Do you know when anyone’s time will come? Kris’ mom gave me something that Kris had made and we are
going to stay in touch. The next time that we go through that area, we are going to stay with her. But I needed some time to grieve my friend and to write this. I
needed to tell you that you cannot keep on going on the way you are going. You need to change your life. We don’t know when the Lord will call us home. God
wanted me to still come this way. He could have let me seen that Kris was home with Him, but God wanted her mom and I to meet. After we left I went on the
computer and sure enough her obituary was there.

3 weeks. Where will you be in 3 weeks? What are you going to be doing in 3 weeks?

Jesus told us that when the end finally comes, two will be standing in a field and one will taken and the other left. He said, “No one knows the day or the hour,
but keep watch.” If we are too busy with our lives, if we are not walking in a relationship with our Lord, if we are holding on to past hurts and foregoing
forgiveness, we are lost. Don’t be lost any more. Go and make amends. Go and visit. Go and do something that shows the goodness of the Lord. Smile and
love each other, trust in the Lord to direct your paths and don’t lean on your own understanding. God will guide you and bring you to where you need to be if
only you will trust in Him.

Life is too short to keep on living without God. Life is too short to not live. Live each day, loving those around you, reach out to those around you and don’t put
off until tomorrow. God wants the best of you and not the left over. Give Him the best and let Him guide you to His plan for your life and trust. Trust in God to
take care of things.

I want to beat myself up for not meeting Kris in person. I hurt so bad inside but I know that God has a plan. And that plan means that Kris and I will meet in
heaven. We are off now, driving down the highway and we will take this days’ lesson from God and go forth. We will go where He leads and meet whom He
wants us to meet. We will share in God’s love and His Word and we pray that the seeds that we plant, God will water them. We pray that you will build a
relationship with God and with all of His children that He brings into your life. Each person you meet is an opportunity to show God to others and to bring the
Good News. Share His love forgive one another as He has forgiven you by dying on the cross for you. Don’t hold back your love or your life. God didn’t hold
His life back. He gave it up willing, dying on the cross, just to prove His love.
