| THE JOURNEY We are on Facebook, under noreenkevern@yahoo.com. We have posted a Picture album on there as well. Join us on Facebook. June 27 We are praying for Melissa and Aaron and their family. Melissa lost her unborn child. We are also lifting up Jennifer as she travels to Colorado to pick up her daughter and nephews. June 18th It's been quite the time for us. Our daughter Chrissy ended up delivering the day after my last post. Her kidneys were shutting down and so Elleanna came early. She came in at 6 #'s and 18 inches and both mom and daughter are doing fine. I'm home with them right now, helping in her recovery. We are so thankful for the Lord's healing and for His love! Sadness also hit our family on the same day. Our youngest daughter Nora and her fiancée Chris received a phone call that Chris' dad Mike passed away while on a bike ride. He was 53. Henry and I went back and spent the week with the family and I also officiated for the funeral. We are keeping Kim Mike's wife, in our prayers as she grieves the loss of her beloved Mike as well as Chris and Nora and Michael Mike's other son, and the whole family. We were very blessed to meet Chris' family during this time of sorrow. We also wish to thank Don for the use of his home while we were there. Such a nice man, Don. He lost his wife in January. He opened his home to us who were perfect strangers and blessed us. We drove back to Illinois straight through both ways, it was a long 24 hours! We are so thankful that Nora and Chris were just up to visit Mike and Kim over Memorial Day weekend. Nora was able to meet her father in law before he went home. Our son and his sons were in a car accident. The boys are fine, but Henry's back is hurting. We are working on the tent trailer to try and fix it to take it along on the next step of the journey. We are also praying as we have heard the possibility that someone may donate or sell at a low price a newer tent trailer. The one we have is over 30 years old and the canvas is torn and the back window blew out right before we left on the journey. The kitchen area needs some fixing as well as the roof. We think that we might have also figured out what is wrong with the van's overheating problem. Henry was also able to fix the front air conditioning in the van, but not the back section. So when we go back on the road, we will put a shower curtain up behind our seats to keep us cool during the ride. We are also hoping to get a generator so that we will be able to have power whenever we need it. The Jesus is Lord Truck Stop is at exit 77 on Interstate 40 in Amarillo, Texas. It is open, so if you are on the road, stop and buy gas and support this truck stop. June 4th It's hard to believe how fast the days are going by. It seems as if there are not enough hours in the day and I didn't realize it had been days again since I last posted. I've been busy with getting things ready to be sold, and now I'm over at my daughter's who is having a baby. She was put on bed rest last week because she has preeclampsia. She is scheduled for a C-section on the 1st of July. Her husband was in a motorcycle accident and is still healing and they have 3 boys under the age of 6. And so now Henry is trying to get things done on his own back at the house. I have been praying that the Lord provides him with the strength for what he needs to do and I know God will. Just as He is giving me the strength for taking care of things here. My back has been really bad as of late and I have to sit down when the pain gets too much. Our youngest grandson is going to need surgery. He's 3 months old. His skull has fused together too early and they have to un-fuse it. He will be in a helmet to help form his head for at least 6 months. But we trust in the Lord. We know that all things will be according to His will and that He knows what is best for all of us. We live life knowing that our faith in our God will bring us through all things and we are so thankful for everything in our life. |
