"I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If you really knew Me,
you would know My Father as well.
From now on, you know Him and have seen Him."

~Welcome to The Way of the Lord Ministries~

We pray that this will be a place for you to come in your journey with the Lord.
As fellow Christians, we offer you a home,  where the Weekly Worship Services
and The Weekly Way are here to help you spend time with the Lord.
A place to send prayer requests and to pray over those posted, and a place from
where you can receive encouragement.
We offer minister services in Arizona for your ministry needs.

No two of us are the same, not in life and not in our faith. We are each journeying
towards heaven but some of us are at the beginning, some at the end, and some
are in the middle along the Way. Jesus said:
“ I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me.” (John 14:6)

We offer to you thoughts and encouragements in living the Way of the Lord.

We pray that you will return often to find what is new as this ministry grows.
The Weekly Way presents lessons from the Scriptures in following the Way
of the Lord and lessons from life. Please read the Bible Scriptures that are
quoted but also read the whole chapter because in doing so you may gain
a better understanding.

As you study the Word of God, keep your thoughts in a journal or notebook.
If you have questions, please email me with them.
Reading and studying the Scriptures will bring you closer to God.

We are all God’s children. God loves you.
It does not matter what religion you are.
We offer a Christian view, so that you can look to God, to seek His will in
all areas of life. And when we put God first in our lives we will not be afraid,
for we know that the Father loves us and is always with us.
Thank you for taking some time here and for taking some time with God.
Have a blessed day in the Lord’s unconditional love.

Good day to everyone. Yes, today is a good day. Yesterday after my PT appointment, we were stopping at the store to pick up a few things and I got hit with the worse
migraine that I have had in a long while. I literally had to close my eyes and have my husband lead me out of the store and kept my eyes closed for the journey home. The
jagged lines that were in my one eye and the blind spot in the other were so bad that I couldn’t see. It was not fun in the least. We came home and I went to bed, ice packs on
the head and hot packs on the neck and vice versa didn’t seem to do a thing. Today when I woke up, I still have a headache, but not as bad as yesterday. So, as computers
bother me when I have these, I won’t spend too much time on mine today. It’s a terrible thing to be shut down and not handle being in the light.

Many times in our lives, we go things alone. We don’t want help and we claim our independence, our ability to do things on our own. We feel it is a sign of weakness to have
to depend on someone, and often times, others will feel used when people are dependant upon them. I could not have made it out of the store on my own, much less driven
the half hour home. I would have been a danger on the road, just as when someone drinks and drives. We tend to forget, that we are responsible for our actions if they can
cause injury to another. We consider so many things our right to do, that we forget that it is a privilege to do. It’s not my right when it endangers someone else.

God causes us to choose in the many circumstances in our lives. We have to be able to choose correctly, the thing that is what is good and righteous. Just because
something looks good or feels good, doesn’t mean it is something that God wants. We are so easily swayed by the flesh desires of our bodies and we allow ourselves to be
drawn into things that are not of God. For example, we have to eat to maintain our bodies, but way too often, we overeat. We forget that we are to care for our bodies as God
lives in us through His Holy Spirit. I’ve not been the best caretaker of my body, but I’m working on it day by day. Over the last 6 months, I’ve lost some weight, I’m not trying to
get thin, but I’m trying to get healthy. We choose better foods, salads more often, EVOO (extra virgin olive oil for those who don’t watch food TV), less on our plates and not
drinking as much soda pop. Which has been hard with our children and grandchildren here, as often I am the cook and when you cook for 11 it’s a lot different than cooking
for 2. The little ones are not as thrilled with the healthier foods that we eat, but we share with them our yogurts and applesauce and we have them try some of the things we
like, portabella mushrooms with crab, grilled fish instead of fish sticks, etc.

It’s like all things in life. We must make choices. And two choices are always in front of us. It’s up to us to discern which is better for us and to make the correct choice. And we
don’t always. It’s up to us to choose whether or not to buy something. We have to decide if what we want to buy is needed or wanted. We have been poor stewards of our
money. We have over spent and bought things that we don’t need or cannot afford. We have become a people of the feel good society, if it feels good, do it or buy it. We
have forgotten that we need to have a disciplined life, not giving into whims.

We are coming into the Christmas season, and many will overspend to buy presents for themselves and for others. We have forgotten that the Christmas season is about the
birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Poor Santa, has gone from St. Nicholas, to the bringer of bigger and better toys, even for the adults. But the tradition was never
about more and more, it was about special things, like a (meaning one) doll and some candy, things that we would not normally have. Santa was about being good in order to
get presents, but now we see so much about being bad. There is a commercial for a motorcycle that professing being rewarded for being bad and the bad Santa will bring
you things. We have car companies and other companies, advertising buying for ourselves at Christmas. We have become a most selfish society. We have had movies that
show parents fighting to buy the latest toys for their children, but we haven’t seen much about Jesus. We need to get back to the basics that Christmas is about. It’s time to
stop the over spending, the needless junk that we buy for our selves and our children.

Over the years, we have been focusing on less for presents for Christmas and more on Christ in Christmas. We brought our children up that Santa only brought a few
presents each year so that they would understand that Christmas was not about what we got, but what we gave. My two older grandchildren, I have taken them down to the
Angel tree to have them choose a child to buy for. Donate to the local Gospel Mission. There is a program out there that you can donate a goat, a part of a well and even
chickens to others around the world.

But we need to learn to forego our selfish nature and take on the nature of God. We need to learn to be dependant upon God and to learn from Him. We need to let Him take
us by the arm and guide us, like I had to have my husband do yesterday. We need to close our eyes to what is out there and instead let God take control, as I did with my
husband driving home and having my eyes closed. We don’t know what tomorrow holds for us, but it’s time that we give God the control. And we need to be joyful in all our
circumstances. Let’s work towards be God dependant in our lives.

Have a blessed day in the Lord’s unfailing love.
